the radio won't enter the bootloader, and the green LED flickers

Post by Ik7vxc » Sat Oct 01, 2022 4:08 pm

Hi,
my Baofeng can tx/rx just fine and I can upload or change the codeplug with no issues. But today when I attempted to enter bootloader mode for firmware update the green led started to flicker randomly.
Under these conditions I'm unable to upload the latest firmware.

Is there a way I can recover from this state?

NB. This is NOT the new version of Baofeng 1801 and it already has installed an old version of openGD77.

Thanks

I never heard of a problem like this before.

You could try restoring your Flash backup , this will return the radio to its original factory data and your old codeplug, because perhaps the bootloader is looking in the Flash memory and your custom boot image or other opengd77 data is perhaps causing this

Thank you Roger for your prompt reply.

Unfortunately I don't have a Flash backup. Any clue where I could find one?
Thanks
