APRS beacon testers needed

Post by VK3KYY » Wed Oct 04, 2023 8:31 pm

Please post here if you can help with testing APRS beacon functionality

You need to have a UV380 / RT3S or MD9600/RT90 with GPS

Hi, I am not sure what type do you need, periodic APRS sending? I am stuck at home for a few days with COVID but could put the RT3s radio on window sill and run direwolf (besides having local APRS gateway in reach) and just check it later. But if it requires some minimum distance change to function, it would have to wait a few days.

I have modded GPS (replacement antenna) in original old RT3s.

Thanks.
We need testing where people are driving their car, or riding a bike or walking etc

I have both radios and can test tomorrow. Let us know what you need.

My newest RT3S seems to have a better GPS so I can test, I'm walking and using public transport in the Stockholm area.
