Okay.
You will have to check the hardware version printed on the PCB silkscreen (removing the top cover) to check which firmware HW version you must flash in the radio.
See the pined post here

Cheers.

I haven't had any issues really with the tests I made walking or in public transport.
As long as I had GPS connection and my signal reached a digipeater on the APRS frequency my positions has been reported to aprs.fi.
Had some complaints from aprs.fi that I was sending updates to fast when my radio was near a window in the apartment and got some positions that jumped around in the neighborhood.
I used the walking profile

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but where can I find documentation on the beta "APRS Options" settings? Mode? Decay? Rates & Speeds "T." settings?

Thanks, Daniel. I'm heading out tomorrow to do some APRS tracking tests with a TYT MD-UV390. Preliminary tests are excellent!

Excellent APRS results using a TYT MD-UV390 and the new firmware. One suggestion: Just like there are (excellent) presets for Car, Bike, etc., it would be great if there were user-programmable presets. For what I'm doing I had to tweak the defaults. It would be nice to be able to save those settings.

Any chance of supporting APRS on the UV-17 Pro GPS?

LOL, the transceiver is not even supported by the firmware...

Have a nice day.

I tested the modes I'm interested in, namely PTT and Auto, but I can't make them work as indicated.
Auto mode: does not work at all, does not transmit any packets, with Interval programmed
PTT mode: Transmit when PTT is released. but does not consider Interval scheduled, each release transmits.
It works like the previous release 2023-09-15
What did I do wrong?
May be a bad installation?
I use MD-UV390

Many Thanks
