The terminal window opens and stays blank. The FW still loads. It appears to lose the status message only if the dir has a space in the filename.

Hi Daniel,
---snip/snip ---
The loader also does not like spaces in the directory name. Eng v103_170830 has a space. If the space is there you lose the status message "Detected mode GD-77"
I hope this helps in case others experience the same problem.
I Just tried (Windows 7 & Windows 10) with a folder named "Eng v103_170830", in a sub-folder, and even at the root of "C:", and I cannot reproduce this.
BTW, by "loosing status message" you mean the terminal window stays blank, or the terminal window doesn't show up ?.
Cheers.

.NET Framework version 4.8 installed
Daniel, I'm working great on Win7. It's enough for me.
It would be good if the program showed a version that will be downloaded and installed.
I just updated the opening post with a new version of the software. It now displays the version, and wants you to confirm to download and install that firmware.
Cheers.

Hi Daniel,
Operation confirmed without problems on the 20200323 version firmware loader
Both GD-77 and DM-1801 radios tested successfully.
Platform: Windows 10 Version 1909 Build 18363.720
(current maintenance).

Worked great for me too (Windows 10 1909 64-bit), but I have a question:
Does it find the latest release based on when the release was posted or based on the release number?
The March 15 release has an extra 2 in the in the number that's going to make it the latest release by release number forever: R202200315
