I think this is a good addition. the volume is not annoying and helps you know when to start the conversation without looking at the screen. Thanks.

At what point was the s-meter in dmr added all the time to RX?

I've seen it with this version but before had always seen a -164dBm signal if no DMR signal was present.

Thank you very much for this improvement, Roger!!

That came out when Roger released the version with CC scan. I disliked it at first, but now I think it's useful.

But can there be an option to turn it on or off, Roger? Like a continuous RSSI on/off?

Once upon a time I read the DMR standards. I don't recall which part of the repeater's response indicates that it's receiving you but I'm pretty sure there's something there for that. I don't think it's in the RC (reverse channel) but it might be in the CACH (common announcement channel).

DMR is even supposed to be able to do full duplex calls like a cell phone and IP networking if your radios support it. It's a pretty robust standard. I thought the acknowledgement the repeater continuously sent was standard though.

Hello Roger,

I tried this firmware but I can't install DMR ID with combined key ( SK2 + Menu + <*>) or (SK2 + Menu + <#>).
Could you please check it ?

Thank you.

The title of this thread is not 100% accurate

The function of the beep is to indicate when a repeater was, dormant and then woken up by the transmision of the HT.

It does not stop you doubling with someone else.

Thats called "Admit Criteria" and its not currently supported, so you can currently double with someone else.
