YT5HOK - there's always some smart guy arguing. If you cannot help me, than better remain silent?

You are necroposting in a thread that is two years old. Also, you missed the context. Nothing to do with user selection. There is no answer here you are looking for.

Sorry for being a bit thick,
Can anyone please tell me where I am going wrong.

I would like to try the latest "OpenGD77_20200161328_lineout_gain_6db.sgl" file.
I am finding that when I select the new file it tells me its not original radioddity file and will only program FM.
I have also tried re-naming it to GD-77_V4.3.8.sql and it reports the same.

That is not a new file. This thread is over two years old!.

Please don't use old experimental firmware, it won't be supported.

What a pitty, i have got it on a disc, old one.. but its not so much louder, than you would think. You have to reupload it via classic update file, not via opengd77 cps. Dont listen to those guys, who are not trying to help, but opposite, beeing rude and disrespectful, when tou ask for a help. Anyways, i have found out a solution for a louder option, which makes much better modulation, when its on regular volume level.

There is work in progress, and already available on the MD9600 firmware for DMR Rx AGC with an adjustable gain level.

However this funcationality is not ready for the GD77 yet

Right. And there is manual FM and DMR mic gain, if that is what he is looking for, as I understood it that way.

I think he is asking for louder DMR Rx.

This will be supported as part of the DMR Rx audio level AGC, when we have finished converting and testing the MD9600 code
