Greetings!

Can i ask for an original RD-5R flash backup (my radio is from radioddity, i'm the first user) please?
Now i have upgraded to 2023.12.12 - all fine in Brandmeister (RX/TX) but - i have RX in ipsc2 and no TX there, only a "click-sound".

And how to calibrate the RD-5R? I see the screen 1/4 - how can i move forward to 2/4 3/4 and 4/4?
I would like to calibrate in 145 and not in 135mhz.

I think i messed up somehow the original values and i have no backups made :D

Thanks!

That's my actual values: uhf1.pngvhf1.png
Maibe should reverse here something?: band.png
If it works fine on Brandmeister but not on IPSC2 (DMR MARC / DMR+) then the problem is not your calibration, but is in your codeplug.

Why do you think the calibration is wrong?

Did you change some values at random ?

Restoring someone else's RD5R flash backup into your radio will cause problems with the calibration, becuase the calibration is specific to each radio.

You can try byself Romanian ipsc2 with the chinese radio RD5R http://ipsc.hamnet.ro/ipsc/#
Maibe are no more allowed chinese radios in ipsc2...
StartRef=4670;RelinkTime=15;UserLink=1;TS1_1=XYZ; TS2_1=YYYY; and so on.

Does the new 2023.12.12 firmware content AMBE plugin?

Do you realize that if the transceiver works while connected to BM, that means it's working ?
Looks much more to be a network/configuration issue (I guess you're using a hotspot, since you gave the DMR+ settings), so YOU have to check your PiStar/Codeplug.

The codec is there, as YOU merge it to the firmware (you know, that donor file, etc, that's it), and if it was not there, you can't even enable DMR mode on the transceiver.

There are more strange things in Bucharest, here on ipsc2.
I tried through hotspot even direct connection to our local repeaters. https://yodmr.blogspot.com/2019/04/yo3d ... pdate.html
The same. RX ok and no TX.

Well, our ipsc2/dmr+... has a bridged connection to the repeater(s), the repeaters are using SmartPTT software/hardware, based on Motorola.
In the last hour a few people tried Private Calls (or data transfer, aprs and so on) and i think the lines was overworked (call over another call).
I think the guys (that used Private Calls) should buy GSM mobile phones and talk in them (for private calls). :D
If you think my radio values in the radio (the pictures attached earlier) is fine, then my radio is fine too.

And yes, i have two DMR radios. The RD5R with openGD77 and another expensive Motorola-based radio.
The expensive one are working fine RX/TX.

TS1_2=2; TS2_3=2263
Does not look correct, but I don't know whether that would cause problems

Normally the default TS are defined as

TS1_1=2;
TS2_1=2263;

i.e. the nomenclature for this is

TSx i.e the TS number TS1 or TS2

Followed by a number which indicates the index which starts with 1

See

https://vkdmr.com/connect-your-hotspot/

You can define multiple TGs per TS e.g

TS1_1=5;TS1_2=3801;TS1_3=3802;

This tells IPSC to create static routes for inbound traffic on TG5, TG3801 and TG3802 for TS1

I recommdend you check your codeplug and also your hotspot configuation, becuase the values you are currently using are defintely sub optimal and may not even work.

BTW.

Make sure you have not enabled TA Tx for the channel, as DMR MARC / DMR+ / IPSC2 does not support in-call data and it causes problems if you enable it, even though Talker Alias is defined in the ETSI DMR specification.
The problem is that IPSC (Motorola) is a proprietary and partially not fully ETSI standard compliant.

It seems that Motorola-server (by taking over) took the leadership in the town and ipsc2 public communications... :lol:
A smart solution to filter (legally) out all chinese radios :lol:

Set Brandmeister active (in DMRGateway) BEFORE any mod! After mod do not apply changes al all in the graphical "Configurations" menu!!!
Just only (press apply in editor) in "Expert" and "DMR GW", then you can safetly reboot but no need. If you reboot will need a longer time to get the DMR button from red to green but it will. In "Configuration" menu you will loose modded settings if apply changes!
And you can restore Brandmeister settings (the original one) if you choose the DMR/Brandmeister Master and your country (apply changes) and get rid (or put "#" before line) for "Options="StartRef=..." line. Or write the original lines in editor (Expert/DMD GW) manually down.

So to summarise your problems are nothing to do with calibration or the OpenGD77 firmware.

Yeap. Topic can be closed.
Before you close: how can i get in radio from calibration menu-screen 1/4 to 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4?

SK2 + Up / Down (or RD5R equivalent buttons)

PS. I notice the User Guide is out of date because the calibration screen(s) has changed slighly and is now on all radio types
