If you don't wany any of this new functionality or all the bug fixes then don't update the firmware

FM APRS Tx. Quick press SK1 while transmitting on FM - see also the new CPS (VK3KYY)
Tx Frequency offset function in the Channel details screen, By pressing Left / Right button on the Tx frequency (F1RMB)
Remove space characters from font data to save program memory space (F1RMB)
Fix –W+ power setting on Satellite screen (F1RMB)

Unfortunately, Direwolf does not decode.

audio level = 27(7/5) [NONE] __||||||_
[0.4] (Not AX.25)<0x82><0xa0><0x9c>````<0xaa><0xae>j<0x8a><0x98><0x96>n<0xae><0x92><0x88><0x8a>d@<0x02><0x02>c<0x03><0xf0>!4752.23N/03316.62EL OpenGD77
Just tested my GD77 on RF to a receiver station 30km away and it worked fine.

It's also decoding ok via SDR Angel and also several local APRS RF receivers e.g. repeaters

Do you have other radios that transmit APRS?

So. Kenwood TH-D74 and Yaesu FT1D work fine.

Try my location 38.000S 145.0000E and if that doesn't work zip your codeplug and post it here, becuase it works fine for other people

You've also not said what you are using as the Rx only that the decoder is DireWolf Other people tested with DireWolf and it worked fine for them

Did you try transmitting to a receiver on the APRS.fi network ?

If you are runnig DireWolf on your PC, try recording the audio into Audacity and comparing with the audio from the your other APRS radios

Check your codeplug

Your the callsign must be entered and must be in upper case e.g UW5ELK

Check via1 and 2
use

Via1 WIDE1 SSID=1
Via2 WIDE2 SSID=1

Check the destination is APN000

Also, we have noticed a bug, if you transmit APRS on another channel where the defaults is not using the APRS profile (probably also if you have additional APRS profiles used) and return to to preferred APRS channel, further transmissions will use settings from the other channel.
Team is looking into this.

Hi Roger,
many thanks to you, Daniel F1RMB and Colin G4EML for the new firmware, CPS and of course, for the excellent and tireless work you are doing: THANKS!
APRS TX feature is really terrific, it leaves me speechless!
It worked for me on the first shot:

https://aprs.fi/info/a/IZ2EIB-7

Now I wait to try via satellite through the ISS.
This reminds me when I did APRS via satellite through the ISS, PCSAT No-44 and PSAT No-84 using the handhelds Kenwood TH-D7E and YAESU FT-1XDE/FT-3DE/FT-5DE (with the aforementioned transceivers I succeeded to send emails too).

73 best regards de Fabio IZ2EIB

Cool.

BTW. You don't need to put your callsign in the message / comment text as its sent at the beginning of the APRS data

Actually, in hindsight, it kinda depends on how you are viewing it. But people generally put things like their name or activity e.g. Riding my bike

;-)
