You can always have two entries for a talkgroup, one for each slot, each with a slightly different name. Then choose the one you need when building the TG list for a repeater.

The good thing is that the OpenGD firmware allows you to configure your codeplug in many different ways, everyone will have their own favourite way to do things. That's why I always recommend people build their own codeplugs. An 'off the shelf' codeplug written by someone else will probably not be good for everyone.

Colin.

Well yes this will work UNTIL you have a TG that on one repeater is on one TS and on another repeater is on the other TS.
It that situation you create a separate digital contact entry for the TG with the appropriate TS specified and add it your TG list for that repeater.

Hey Bob (W9YA):

Thanks for including your codeplug with your message.

It is easier for me to learn a new codeplug CPS programer by example and yours now shows me how it works!

Sure beats trying, mistakenly, to open .bin files in the CPS program! hahaha

How do I save my default Firmware from my new out of the box DM-5R, before I upgrade to the Open Firmware?

Not possible, just download it from the manufacturer website.

Oh, dear: I have to download Baofeng software for the DM-5R? Not even sure which flavor of Baofeng that is and when I do it is an .rar file which wants a password to unstuff!

Since you want to have a copy of the manufacturer's firmware, yes (with associated tools).
We aren't providing any, as we are only focused on the OpenGD77 firmware/CPS.
... anyway, who wants to use the genuine firmware ? :D ...

thank you: Are we allowed to resell the HT with your software already installed on it?

Nobody here wants the option to go back if necessary?
