Hello everyone

I updated to the latest firmware "Stable release (2023 03 04)" on my Baofeng RD-5R and after the update, I have a black screen? I had to go back to an old version I had on my computer "(2022 11 29) which works fine! I tried several times and it doesn't work.. I also have a Baofeng DM- 1801 which with the last stable version (2023 03 04) there it works very well?

Has anyone else had the same problem?

It's quite off topic, this one is about the Beta from April 23th .
I just successfuly flashed my DM-5R Plus with that release, everything is fine. I suggest you to redownload the zip file, maybe the firmware file you extracted was corrupted.

Cheers.

I downloaded the latest firmware again and now it works fine.... I think my zip file had a problem.

Thanks for your help

Daniel

No. it hangs my DM1801, and I have to remove the battery to get it back into DFU mode.
I flashed back the released version and it works fine.

Are you using the latest CPS version?

It will not work with older CPS versions

Take the battery out.

Turn the radio off.

Install the latest CPS

Install the firmware again

Edit. I just retested this and my DM-1801 works just fine.
