AFIK the original DM-5R is a Tier 1 DMR radio, which uses an older DMR chip.

Later DM-5R radios use the C6000 DMR chip and may be compatible with the firmware.

However the only radio of this type which definitely works are those which are sold as RD-5R

Hi, thank you very much for fast answer.
So, you mean,,, it could be possible or not the DM-5R stand the Opengd77 ? If it has the new chip C6000, for Tier 2.,,its that? Or just none have tried for rhis last model??

Depends on the exact hardware inside the radio.

If you radio is marked as DM-5R it is probably the Tier 1 radio and will not work.
Baofeng make many different radios and often change the hardware without changing the model number, or release the same radio with different model numbers.

Are you a Ham radio operator. Do you currently use this radio for DMR and if so on which network.

OK. The radio must be Tier 2 aka DM-5R MK2
