tutti i ripetitori tranne tono 88.5Hz
This works for everyone except you. Perhaps your radio has a fault or you did not progrsm the channel correctly.

Check the calibration of your radio

I haven't been really active on DMR for a few weeks, casually listening a little but not really any QSOs, today I heard a guy asking for a signal report so I grabbed the radio and we chatted for a bit. His audio sounded really odd, so I had him chasing things like overloading his mmdvm, mic gain, etc, until I finally thought to try the Anytone 878 and listen and on it, his audio sounded just fine. But both my GD77's sounded wonky. I am not sure what's going on.

It's really hard to describe, like the first bit of every word dropped out a little, almost poppy sounding as he spoke. Not just the first of the transmission, but all along the transmission. I normally have Eco on 4 and AGC set to 0db, so I tried Eco 0, no difference, AGC off, no difference. I tried listening to both GD77's at the same time (one outside of each ear) and they sounded pretty consistent to each other, but the Anytone 878 and one of the GD77 I could clearly hear what sounded almost like audio dropouts in the GD77. Again, kind of hard to describe. Overall his audio was okay, just this kind of dropping out at the beginning of words.

All three radios using similar antennas, all using the same repeater that's about 2 miles away at 400 feet HAAT. I can receive this repeater with no antenna at all, so I don't think it was a reception, interference, etc kind of issue.

Anyone else had anything else odd of this nature? I'm not sure what to make of it, seems newish to me but again, I haven't been using the radio much the last few weeks. My radios are at July 30 and June 20th level, I've updated one of them to August 16th (I thought I already had!) but I didn't see anything about audio fixes anywhere, but I am going to keep an ear out and see if I'm still hearing it on the latest firmware.

I've tried to reproduce using my own audio on parrot, sounds fine, I tried listening to TG91 but the audio there is so terrible it's impossible to tell ;)

cordialement

Hotspot mode is not supported on the Baofeng RD-5R / DM-5R because the hardware does not support reliable USB communications while the radio is transmitting.

See https://github.com/LibreDMR/OpenGD77_Us ... tspot-mode
