New OpenGD77 and OpenMD9600 Beta's . May 31 2022

Post by VK3KYY » Tue May 31, 2022 11:24 am

Daniel F1RMB has added an Automatic power off function, where the radio can be configured to turn off after 30, 60, 90, 120 or 180 minutes of no activity.

OpenGD77 version is available here

MD9600 version is available from here

New Voice prompts are available here

For the translators, the 2 new texts are

.auto_power_off = "Auto Pwr-Off" // MaxLen: 16 (with ':' + 30/60/90/120/180 or .no)
.apo_with_rf = "APO with RF" // MaxLen: 16 (with ':' + .yes or .no or .n_a)

I will post to the Localisation thread as well.

Hi Roger and Daniel,
Very nice addition. I see a difference between the GD77 and MD9600. With the MD9600 I have an extra option in General Options to make a choice. "APO With RF: yes or no". This option is not available with the GD77. Is this the intention.

Ah no, that's a mistake, both options are available on all platforms (except the GD77S). I will email Roger about that.

Cheers.

My bad

Somehow I built the GD77 version without the very latest update from Daniel

The correct version is here

Having problems with receive and transmit delays on the md-9600 with my hotspot. Used to have the same problem on the gd-77 but sometime it must have gotten fixed. I can monitor with the gd-77 with the same hotspot and hear all incoming transmissions, but the md-9600 misses maybe one out of thirty transmissions. showing signal on the meter but no audio. Same goes for transmissions out at about the same interval. Timing to and from the hotspot seems to be off. Bit error rates are about the same for both radios. BTW this is a duplex modem. I said delays but more like nothing heard unless i do a channel change and back to that channel. Following transmissions after the miss come through again.

I understand 2022 and not 2020?
