I did all tests with the same settings. RX, TG9 on our local DMR repeater (OE2XZR). Promiscuous mode on. CC off. Occasionally pushing PTT (@250mW) for 2-3 seconds to open the repeater. Reboot always occured within 48 hours.

Ummm.

CC filter disabled when attempting to wake a repeater. Probably we should automatically re-enable CC filter when the PTT is pressed, because its likely to prevent the wake-up process working.

This was only ever designed as a method to scan for signals with unknown CC.

Originally we had a CC Scan function like Tone Scan but thought it was safe to just show this is CC Filter

But we were wrong.

I was assuming that the radio automatically falls back to CC1 when TXing. However, the reboot seems not to be connected to TX as it always happened while RX/Stdby while I did not handle the radio.

No, as you specifically turn the CC scan option ON, it will use the one that was detected.
Of course, when you're landing on a channel, it will set the CC from the channel settings. Hence, no detection -> the one from the channel settings.

Cheers.

I installed this new version and tested the option that VK3KYY had suggested to me in the version 2022 02 07 post to activate the cc filter, I left the radio on for a few hours and everything worked normally. I redid the test but now deactivating the cc filter, and after approximately 20 minutes the radio restarted.
I did this test with the radio at echo1 level which is when the problem is occurring here, if I leave it at echo5 level the restarts apparently also disappear.
Thanks to all the developers for the excellent work. Congratulations to all!!! 73

Becasue of the problems we constantly have with "CC Filter" this option will be removed from the QuickMenu(s)

CC scanning will still be available as part of Monitor Mode (Hold SK2), so the functionality to determine the CC of a DMR signal is not removed entirely, its only the "CC Filter" disabing option which is removed.

Just to say again what has been said many time before the DMR chip (C6000) does not support disabling of the CC Filter.
We use an algorithm to scan for the CC of the received signal

It has become clear its not possible to scan for the CC under all conditions e.g. when signals of unknown protocol are being received. or perhaps even just random QRM signals.
Doing this seems to cause a crash the firmware for some people, and this may be caused by bugs in the C6000 DMR chip.

So our only option is to remove the ability to constantly scan for CC, so that the radio only scans for the CC when the operator uses monitor mode and the signal appears to be DMR.

My device also restarted within ~30h with cc scan on.
Eco level was on 5.

What do you mean "cc scan on"

The option name is "CC Filter"

Do you mean CC Filter is OFF, hence it is scanning ?

OK

Thanks for confirming.

That's what I thought you were saying

Can you confirm with CC Filter ON, that the firmware does not reboot ?
