Hi guys.
Here is the updated italian.h and wordlist_italian.csv files for the current Development release:
italian.h+wordlist_italian.cvs_02042021.zip
(6.41 KiB) Downloaded 91 times
This time it is particularly difficult for me to be able to translate to the best without exceeding the 16 characters available for viewing on the GD-77's display, so for scanning I had to use its acronym 'SCAN'.
I find translation made by Roger in wordlist_italian.csv well done, so from my side no change there.

I am pretty sure I did not dream of it, but last night when I updated my GD-77 with the new firmware OpenGD77_20210303855, a message in English with confirmation request (OK) has appeared inherent to the upgrade.
Unfortunately I pressed OK (green button) without paying too much attention to what was written on the display and with subsequent updates I have not seen it anymore.
I understood that this is a message aimed at highlighting the success of the firmware update:

+----------+
|Settings|
| update |
+----------+

OK

As always a dutiful thanks to Roger, Daniel F1RMB and of course all the people involved in the OpenGD77 project for the time and resources spent on the whole community in order to provide new features, improvements and bugs fix.
Thanks!

Hi Fabio,

I was going to raise a PR, but the translation for ".scan_dwell_time" is way too long, as ":480ms" (max) have to fit on the right side.
I just tried to use Google Translate, and it's even longer than the good French translation (which I had to shorten).

Cheers.

Really sorry Daniel, my bad!
Let's see if this way it can be fine:

.scan_dwell_time = "Ciclo SCAN"
italian.zip
(3.62 KiB) Downloaded 99 times
"Ciclo SCAN" is 10 characters, ":480ms" is 6 characthers, so now the total number of characters for translation is 16.
Still many excuses for the error.
Thanks!

The VFO scan words of "Low" and "High" can now be translated

The files have been updated on github to include those words

https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/ ... /languages

Please can anyone interested, provide translations for those on-screen texts, and also tell me whether the same text / words is OK for the Voice Prompts, and if not, please also post the translations needed for the voice prompts

Translation Update 4.6: Add Scan dwell, high, low

I am not sure if the translation of high/low is 100% ok / meaningful because i did not find any details in the manual about the application..

P.S: I will update the wordlist for the voicepromts soon and post it here.

Hoping not to have exceeded the limit in number of characters imposed by the LCD display of the GD-77.
As always a big thank especially to Roger, Daniel F1RMB and all the people involved in the OpenGD77 project for the time and resources spent on the whole community in order to provide new features, improvements and bugs fix.
Many, many thanks!
