Hi,

I just checked the status of the translation files.

Language files that have not been updated for too long:
  • czech.h Fri Nov 27 2020
  • danish.h Sat Dec 14 2019
  • dutch.h Wed Mar 10 2021
  • portuguese.h NEVER UPDATED
  • slovenian.h Thu Oct 8 2020
  • turkish.h Sun Feb 16 2020
Languages files which need to be updated:
  • portugues_brazil.h Sat Jun 12 2021

So please guys, send updates for the ones in the first list, otherwise they will be removed from the firmware.

EDIT: I've attached the translation files.
EDIT2: I've re-uploaded czech and turkish files, encoded in UTF-8, as it's mandatory before edition. Sorry, my bad.

Cheers.

Daniel

Hi,

Thanks for the translation.

Yes, you have to keep it updated, or fix the small glitches.
We already have some abandoned languages, hence, sooner or later, we will simply drop them.

Cheers.

Of course I will try!
I will ask for your help on when to enter new texts. Where will I see the last update on this? What is the possible visible change. It's not clear to me yet.

Or, unfortunately, I will not be able to check everything. For example, I don't use the HotSpot feature. Or not everything in DMR.
I'm trying. :)

Can't load +1 or +2 languages optionally? How not to occupy the radio memory of all currently "living" languages? It just came up in me.

Thanks! Zs.

I think if a language has not been maintained for over 1 year it should definietly be removed.

I've just edited my previous post to add all the concerned file, so you will find Finnish there.

Cheers.

Thanks for the update.
There is one wrong entry, you translated NSEW (which are the cardinal points for North, South, East and West) to "Kierunek"
I would expect 4 letters ;-)

Just send the 4 correct characters here, I will modify your file.

Cheers.

Hello, everyone, this is bg0ceg. I want to use gd77 Chinese menu. How should I operate it? Thank you. 73 is for you.

This is been discussed many times.

Chinese is not possible with this firmware, because it does not support double byte characters.
Also because the fonts are stored as part of the firmware in the MCU ROM, not in the external Flash memory, there is not enough space for Chinese bitmap font characters.

The MCU ROM is 99.9% full just with the programming code for functionality.
