Hi everyone and big thanks to F1RMB, VK3KYY and other people contributing to this fabulous firmware

I'll try to explain something I noticed already in the 09.29 version, and still present with this public beta.
When i swtich my GD77 to a DMR channel, there is generaly a important lag before the audio switches on when "TS Filter" is set on "OFF". This lag is about 3 seconds.
No matter if the TS display is set on TS1 or TS2, and even if "Filter time" is set at its minimum value : 2s (1s was possible in older versions)
As a consequence, during scanning the GD77 nevers stop on busy DMR channels

The old version version Juil 11 2021 is still OK, there is not any lag in any way, no matter if "TS Filter" is set on "OFF" or "ON", and no matter if the GD77 is set on the opposite slot or not (if TS Filter is OFF of course)

Is what I explain understandable?
If not I could make a video

Luc
When you "stumble" on an active DMR channel, it takes time to the HR-C6000 and the code to synchronize.
It's even worse when filtering is OFF, as the system needs to check one TS if some audio frames are available, and if it fails to detect such data, it will redo on the other TS (in case of duplex channel).

For the details: previously, the chip was listening both TS at the same time, but that introduced a lot of problems (like messing up the LC data, etc). The new way is different, once a Sync is detected by the chip, the software is synchronising on a TS, then try to detect audio data. It was a painful work, it took me 1.5 month to make it work properly, even on old buggy HR-C6000 chip.

The "Filter Time" is the time a locked timeslot (when audio has been received and decoded) will remain active, before trying to detect audio on the other timeslot (default is 10 seconds, it's long enough for someone to get the Mic back).

With the latest beta, you can force the system to switch to the other TS to try to detect some audio, press or longpress the STAR key.

Remember, the displayed TS information on the screen is only related to transmission. If you want to know which TS is active, enter the Monitor mode (press and hold the SK2 button).

EDIT: About the scan problem, we are aware of this. A fix has been made (unreleased yet).

Cheers.

(LOL)

I think there will be a sudden influx of AMSAT users, which will leave the old hands rather bemused ;-)
