Thanks Roger, I missed that.
Testing this new firmware, I've found two other issues:
- Radio doesn't store date correctly when power off, after turning it on, year is 2621.
- When writing codeplug to radio, screen corrupts and back to normal after writing finishes, not seen before.
Kind of radio ?
Does Suspend is enabled ?

Cheers.

Radioddity GD77
Suspend is disabled

Okay.
It's "normal", as the Timezome is retained, but since the GD-77 (or DM-1801 or RD-5R) don't have a battery backup (and no RTC chip), each time you power cycle, the date starts from epoch (1970-01-01), and since you set the time to "Local", the timezone is applied to the current datetime.
Hence, this is why "Suspend" has been added, as it don't power off the MCU, but set it in a minimal power consumption level, and all possible device are turned off.

Is it possible to use a subtone when communicating with a satellite?
CTCSS is included in the satellite data from the CPS , This is fully documented in the User Guide

There will be a partial fix to the crazy date thing in the next beta, so the date gets set to the year the version of the firmware was compiled, I.e 2021 at the moment.

But like Daniel says, the radio does not have a clock chip in it, so can only keep time while its turned on, or in suspend mode

Great Job Roger, will you implement the possibility to download NOOA satellites in the future?
You need to edit the satellites.txt file which is installed in the same folder as the exe of the CPS, and add extra satellites

Set the tx freq to 0, to prevent accidental transmission
All perfect Roger , Thank You

At the moment the satellites.txt file will be overwritten if an updated CPS is installed, bake sure you keep a backup of your modified version of that file

yes I saw that I could load one database or the other, but I did a merge of NOOA.txt and amteurs.txt and then I loaded it from the PC

Change the download URL to

https://www.amsat.org/amsat/ftp/keps/cu ... sabare.txt

Initially I used this URL, but there was a problem with the ISS keps for several days, where the time was incorrect by 2 minutes, so I changed to Celestrack

If you change the keps URL it will be remembered by the CPS even after you update

Cheers

Roger
