The last time I went on the forum was about 2 monthes ago, and today I see the incredible work that has be done to be able to continue the adventure!!
Big big big thanks to all those who worked hard and still work for it.
Big thanks to RMB for this release.
Didn't test yet as I don't exactly understand how to flash/reflash/CPS etc. but I'll better read the forum. It is not always easy as my english lacks practice...

So happy to read that our GD77 is still alive :)

Easy, install the latest CPS, available here, and follow the instructions (en Français).

Cheers.

Hi Dear friends, I kindly ask for information as they have replaced my radioddity gd-77. With a new one because the one I still had under warranty is completely blocked, and the manufacturer has replaced it, however I tried to insert another Firmware but nothing to do. Coming to the starting point, the new gd 77 is original from the factory but I cannot understand one thing once I have downloaded the open gd 77 Firmware to insert it into the radio do you need the factory software? Since after the withdrawal of Roger klark's project the procedure is completely different. Thanks for your availability. IZ8NVJ Vincenzo

First time with the new process, but basically easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

1. Downloaded and installed the June 10 CPS
2. Download the zip file from from Radioddity, extract the GD-77_V4.3.6.sgl file.
3. Download the July OpenGD77.bin File
4. Run the new CPS from the desktop
5. Connect the radio to the computer via the UDB to speaker / Mic cable with Radio ff
6. Turn radio on while pressing the blue and black buttons on the left.
7. In the CPS program, select the Extras, then Firmware Loader
8. Point the CPS to the locations of the *.sgl file and the location of the *.bin file
9. Load firmware.
10. When it's done, unplug radio from USB cable, turn off and on
11. Enjoy!!!!

Hello. During the use of the DM1801, I observe periodic appearances of "helicopter" noise . In the early development of OpenGD, fixes for this problem were made. The new versions of the program take into account the corrections of the "helicopter" noise?
Thank you for the excellent OpenGD77))

Quick question. Is there any interest from Daniel/Roger to port the firmware to the recently released Radioddity DB25-D?

I believe that would be an amazing idea, but would like to know if it makes sense to you guys. Thanks and 73, HB9HJU, Luis
