Daniel,
Thank you for the wicked fast response! Right after I sent that, I figured I had nothing to lose by trying it, as I recall these things are pretty hard to brick via firmware update. I tried it and I can report a successful update. Thank you!

Hi,
I just created this new topic for the latest development updates (starting from the May 29th Roger's post).
Cheers.

Thank you Roger and everyone involved!
Great and thank you that the project continues.
Flashing the current OpenGD77 on my two GD-77s also worked without any problems.

Thanks OpenGD77 Development Team for all the hard work and new features.
Love the new expanded DMR ID database.
FEATURE REQUEST: Would it be possible to set the display priority to Talker Alias instead of the DMR ID database?
I spend most of my time on Brandmeister and prefer the Talker Alias details over the 6 digit DMR ID database but that DB is really helpful in non talker Alias environments.

You can do this now Steve. In "Display Options" use the L or R arrow keys to set the order to your preference: TA/Ct/DB or TA/DB/Ct. That should do it.

It would be good if we could get that data from somewhere but I don't know anywhere which now offers it
Use this:
https://ham-digital.org/user_by_lh.php and it works, don't worry.
I use it to make userdb for MD-9600 which allows only 100k, so I cross-reference userdb from radio-id for full user info and that last-heard for 100k last heard ones, to make my custom userdb.

Hi,
I have a Baofeng DM-1801 radio, what is the new firmware installation process??
Knowing that GD77 has to download the original firmware to later update.
How should I proceed to install this new version for DM-1801???

A flawless firmware upgrade here too, using the new CPS in a Win10 VirtualBox VM on Ubuntu.
Congrats to Roger and the gang for navigating through the licencing minefield and coming out the other side with all feet still attached and a will to continue with the project.
Many thanks.
