Try this version, on level 3 and 4

https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/ ... 152004.zip
Hi, I also had a problem with DMR audio reception at level 1 - 4 on my GD77 with beta version D2021.02.13.01. The first signal arrives and the green LED lights up. With the delay comes the sound. Lv 1: 10 - 20s Lv: 4 30 - 60s. After waking up from sleep mode it works. Especially on the pi-star mmdvm hotspot.
The last firmware here in the link 202102152004 works audio reception in DMR at level 1 - 4, but I have to have a beep volume setting above the limit of 0db and more to +. (When set below 0db, the DMR sound and key sound on firmware 202102152004 on my GD77 do not work). The FM sound is OK.
In the beta version D2021.02.13.01, setting the beep volume to 0db will not help either.
Firmware 202102152004 works better for me. Beep volume: 0db -> prompt: silent.
Excuse my English (google translate).

Update: Even with firmware 202102152004 after 30 minutes of sleep, there is a problem for sound to appear on the radio. The signal passes for 9 seconds without sound.

I did a reset first. This has not helped. I have not been able to determine the problem on FM. I have done the test on ecomode 4. Problem indeed occurs after 2 sec. so when the ecomode becomes active. (on eco 1 the problem came after 10 sec.). Display and green led become active but no audio. sometimes the audio comes back spontaneously. Settings:
Filter-None, DMR filter-none, cc filter-on, TS filter-on.

PS
I did the test simplex and also via hotspot and Repaeter. With cc filter off the same problem.

I hope this info can be helpful. Grtz Patrick
What network and server is your hotspot connected to ?
Is it simplex or duplex.

This may be a "late entry" DMR data problem, on some servers. i.e your local repeater could be on the same server as your hotspot
Update.
I use Brandmeister with a simplex hotspot. I don't think the problem is here. I have made a simplex setup between 2 GD-77's. These are both on DMR simplex, so without hotspot and without repaeter, direct DMR between the two gd77's the problem still occurs. Today I also provided the second gd77 with the 13 Febr. fimware. Everything seems to be working normally on the second device. Apparently it is indeed a problem on some devices. It appears to work normally on FM. With the test versions, the problem is still there.

Level 4 Audio same bug but more long in time and need a lot of key presses to return to hear audio again.

test now level 3
OK.

That is strange.

The problem is that the C6000 chip in some radios seems to fail if its sleep function is used.
But this does not apply to most radios

Even down doing a partial software reset on the C6000 does not seem to fix the problem.

How old is your radio?

OK.

I thought 3 may not work, as the fix was the same as level 4.

Ummm.

Very strange it does not happen on all radios

What freq are you using UHF or VHF?

OK.

I will need to find someone locally whom has a radio with this problem so I can borrow it.

Please use Level 2, it takes much less current than the last stable release.

Many thanks Roger, yes Level 2 for now.

I think perhaps the problem is the frequency is incorrect after the C6000 has been asleep...

What radio type are you using ? GD-77?

I will try some more things and directly email you some things to try. But probably not before the end of the day for you

It seems that some C6000 chips perhaps have some manufacturing problem, which prevents the sleep function from working

I noticed the official firmware does not use the sleep function of the C6000, possibly because they know that it does not work with all C6000.

I will try to find a work-around, because the C6000 takes 25% of power in the radio when its sleeping.
I could do a full reset each time I wake the C6000 but its a lot of data to send to the C6000 every 100 milliseconds
