Question about coordinates in a channel
Question about coordinates in a channel
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By configuring a direct digital channel, it would be possible to send the real GPS position or define fixed coordinates?
The questions are in relation to a TYT-MD9600 with openGD.

You can enter the locations of the repeaters/stations and together with your GPS position you get a number of functions.ec2ut wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 10:10 pmChanel_MD9600.jpg
What is the defined use of the latitude and longitude fields?

You can display distance from the repeater, sort the zone list dynamically related to distance and so on.

Re: Question about coordinates in a channel
FM APRS can send a fixed location, by defining that position in an APRS configuration, and select that configuation for a specific channel.
There is no way to use the Channel coordinates as the FM or DMR APRS location
