What is the defined use of the latitude and longitude fields?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By configuring a direct digital channel, it would be possible to send the real GPS position or define fixed coordinates?
The questions are in relation to a TYT-MD9600 with openGD.
Regards

You can enter the locations of the repeaters/stations and together with your GPS position you get a number of functions.
You can display distance from the repeater, sort the zone list dynamically related to distance and so on.

FM APRS can send a fixed location, by defining that position in an APRS configuration, and select that configuation for a specific channel.
There is no way to use the Channel coordinates as the FM or DMR APRS location
