New Feature Request -- Use channel Knob to scroll menus

I have a new feature request:

Thank you for all the hard work in developing OpenGD77. It works great for my Baofeng 1801 and 1701. I especially like the TG lists and the ability to assign a talk group list to a channel and not having to have a separate Channel for each TG like on the Anytone 878.

Here is my feature request for your consideration:
Add the option to use the channel know (on 1701) to scroll through vertical menus instead of the up/down arrow keys.
I think that this option would be easier to use for the User Interface than the up/down arrow keys.
For instance, you could assign a Quick Key to bring up the Zones menu (already works) then use the Channel KNow to quickly select a Zone.
Would this feature be hard to program?
