interesting glitch...
Loading firmware on a MD-UV380, then switching to loading an DM1801 causes CPS to fail loading with an "error sending initial packet" or something of the sort. ( after the "patching firmware" message).
However exiting CPS, and restarting loads the DM1801 correctly.

yes.
Looks like something remains initialized wrong if i load an uv380 first then switch radio type.
it's really minor, all i need to do is leave cps and run it again to make it work.

I am running Windows 10 and it installs without any problems

It gets reported as a virus because it's not signed with an authentication certificate

Certificates cost around $1000 per year.

There is nothing we can do about this

same here, no warnings & alerts during installation on Windows 10
But checking the file OpenGD77CPSInstaller_R2023.11.23.01.exe on www.virustotal.com gives 4 results:

Bkav Pro: W32.AIDetectMalware
Ikarus: Trojan-Downloader
MaxSecure: Trojan.Malware.121218.susgen
Microsoft: Program:Win32/Wacapew.C!ml

Had this in the past with one of my utilities. My solution - a little bit of code change & rearrange
results in a complete different binary bit pattern and no more alerts.

Thanks to the team devs. Update performed successfully without virus warning. I just missed the theme editor in the current CPS

Looks like one of the other chanegs disabled the theme editor.

This will be fixed

Workaround

Set the Radio type to MD9600/MDUV380, close and re-run the CPS

Theme editor should now be available
