Multiple install Satellite keps corrupts radio operation

Daniel, I did the following:
- power off (for real, SK2+...)
- power on,
- without entering the sat menu, update the keps (once or multiple times) and tell me if the problem still appear?
The answer is NO it did not appear. I uploaded keps about 5 times in this state, no problems.
Then:
I switched to Satellite screen, radio went to "predicting".
Loaded Keps one more time (Screen is showing the satellite list) and now radio is honked up.

Okay, thanks for the tests.
Now, after a fresh power cycle (SK2 + Power off, etc..), enter the satellite menu, do whatever you want, but escape the menu with short press on the RED button, until you get back to the root menu (channel or vfo mode), NOT a long press RED.
After this, update the keps few times, as the previous test.
FIY I fixed a problem in this area in my local development branch few days ago.

Another question, have you edited the satellites.txt file ?

Daniel, I did not edit satellites.txt. In fact I have not edited any file.
I sent you my codeplug to your email address in QRZ, as I did not know how to attach it here.
If there is anything at all I can so resolve this mystery, please let me know.

Which settings are you changing when the settings get "updated" (apart Suspend: On)?

Daniel I am not sure what you are asking.
Note: I am using the latest CPS (09.21) and firmware (09.15) on a GD-77.
After I do multiple "Install Satellite Keps" from the satellite list screen. If I go back to channel mode, the arrows don't work, ZONE gives me ?6 characters.
I am not changing any settings.
Here is what I just did to recreate:
Starting with GD-77 is working correctly, Keps are loaded and satellite list mode is up. I can switch back/forth to channel/satellite mode.
With satellite list up, I now "install keps".
all is still working, switch back to channel mode, all is still working, switch back to satellite list, Install keps, now radio is honked, cannot scroll down on satellite list, and cannot switch back to channel mode. Radio is useless until I do SK2+Pwr off, then power on.
Do you need a list of all my settings under Options?

Well, avoid updating the keps while in the satellite screens (any), next firnware will exit the sat screen when CPS communication happens.


About the options, I need to know which ones you're changing from the default value, as a matter to have the same conditions as you.
