Writing themes to radio empty the satellite list

Post by lu2efi » Fri Aug 11, 2023 1:20 pm

Hi, I started playing with themes since my UV390 arrived last week. But I've found that when I write themes to the radio (at least with the two last CPS versions), the satellite list disappear (radio shows "empty list") and a new upload of keps file is needed to recover that list.
Let me know if I can help to investigate this.

Hi,

I tried to reproduce, but it works as expected.
Do you have a boot melody, boot screen ?

Also, can you send me your codeplug, this way I can test in the same conditions.

Cheers.

Okay,

There is no keps in your codeplug. Hence, each time you write it, it clears the previous keps you've uploaded.
Hence, upload the keps, read back the codeplug, save it on your computer. This way, next time you flash the codeplug, this "old" keps will survive.

Cheers.

Understood! I didn't know that the keps file could be "included" in the codeplug and the mechanism to do this.
Thanks Daniel
