Hi Daniel, with the last "pistar" update the GD77 hotspot often lost connection with the GD77 (the GD77 returned to its standard state).

I loaded your version of 29 and everything returned to normal ...
The hot spot is currently running with 1W of output power to test with more disturbance and it works well.

Okay... About the "version of 29", the version of what ? ;)

About my fork, it uses the very last version of MMDVMHost, and one of the last merged PR was about termios (serial related). Hmmm, I should investigate this (I don't have any problem here, running HS v0.1.1).

Cheers.

Okay, Marc, Thierry,

The same thing happens here. Why I didn't noticed is because my backlight is always off on my hotspot, and the current channel is the one of my hotspot, so with identical frequencies.

I will recompile MMDVMHost without the termios modification, just to be sure it's related to this latest change. Once it's confirmed, I will submit something to the G4KLX.

@Thierry, are you running the 4.1.0 fork ? I will just rebuilt for that one now, as it takes quite some time to compile on a Pi Zero.

Cheers.

Pistar version displayed:
Pi-Star: 4.0.0-RC10 / Console: 20200317-f1rmb
Hotspot version:
OpenGD77:V 0.1.2
The hotspot crashed after 2:30 hours of operation: WiFi connection lost with the box ...
I restarted with the log on the way ....

Okay, reverting the termios change doesn't fix this.

I will investigate what is causing this, it's something that changed between Jan 12 and now in one of the digital related software.

Cheers.

Okay Thierry.

BTW, you're using a Pi-Star which has been dropped long ago (and can cause some problems with current binaries). Please update to 4.1.x, or switch back to 3.4.x (yeah, you need to flash your SDCard for that. Make a backup first, you can restore it and have your hotspot up and running in a minute).

Cheers.

Hi Daniel,
I've loaded the test firmware, and it does successfully bypass this problem.

Should I do more testing to try and determine if the behavior is related to a setting? (Perhaps CAST?)

The radio still goes into hotspot mode, drops out of hotspot mode for several seconds and then returns to hotspot mode. Now it has the correct hotspot frequency active.

Thanks,
