RX beep

Post by EC7AJT » Thu Apr 14, 2022 2:48 pm

Hi

Thank you for your work with this firmware.

About new fw beta (2022 04 09) and new Rx beep function, my GD-77:

DMR mode, RX beep: carrier, TS filter activated, walkie standby on TS 1 and no activity.
Then a signal enters TS 2, the start beep RX and end beep RX are heard.

Is this correct?.

Yes. This is correct.

If there is a "carrier" then the radio will beep.

This is necessary when you are listening to a multimode repeater, when there will be a non-DMR signal, and you need to know that you can't transmit.

Noise does not normally trigger the "carrier" detection when DMR mode is selected, even if you change the mode to FM and open the squelch to the setting where on FM the squelch is constantly opened by the local QRM or QSB
