OpenGD77

Hello Everyone!

I have OpenGD77CPSInstaller_R2021.06.10.01 installed and latest firmware version on my GD-77 is 16:59:00 Jul 11 2021.

Today I attempted to install the latest firmware release. I downloaded and extracted the file and started the install process from step 10 of the instructions.

I was notified to reboot GD-77. I did but only got a black screen.

I reinstalled the previous firmware version and black screen went away.

Question. What did I do wrong?

Hi,

Wrong CPS for the latest stable release (and all beta released last months). Install and use the latest CPS, that will fix the problem.

Hope your well. I was thinking that this may be the issue but better to ask and get the marching orders from the expert!

Do I need to completely remove the current CPS?

No, you can install on top of it.
