hmm this was interesting we do have on radio club marconi, can i ask what you did to get it send tdma there? you feeding in via mmdvm, using aux?

I did tried with openspot hotspot, same thing.

Is there a way to get debug frame data on usb port?

I have a special version of MMDVM running on an Arduino Due. Instead of taking data from MMDVMHost it just repeatedly plays a three second loop of me saying ‘1 2 3’ on one or both time slots. This feeds into the external modulation input of the 2955.
It is something I made when I was helping the MMDVM project and we were investigating performance at low signal levels.

As for debug on the USB port, Roger has the means to do this but it is not a simple thing to do.

Hi.

I have this problem on UHF. I can't connect with some dmr repeaters on uhf. In analog mode everything is ok.
With the oficial firmware, fine on dmr uhf. I don't have any vhf dmr repeater to try.

I have the problems with the 438425 -7.6 mmdvm Repeater.
I have tried unsuccessfully:

* with actual and previous versions opengd77
* calibration option: on or off and reboot

And

* the tx timer remains at 0
* I have read the calibration and i think it hasn't strange values (read and saved calibration)

When this repeater had a slot busy and I tried other slot, I connected fine.

However I have no problems connecting to the repeater: 438900 -7.6 Hytera RD625

Any idea what might be happening?

In brandmeister it is indicated: Hardware MMDVM (Repeater)

I have checked the hamradio website and there is no more information

I have started to experience the problem recently as well (with the last few firmware builds) on UHF with my Openspot. I have been having trouble getting the open spot to be able to receive both of my GD-77’s. I can set it up to receive one (either one) but not both by adjusting the DMR demodulation mode. I loaded the latest ‘Factory’ firmware back on both GD-77’s and both of them worked fine with the Openspot.

I checked both of the GD-77’s on my frequency counter in the FM mode and they show to be on frequency (in FM)

I went into the calibration of both of the GD-77’s and adjusted 8F008 DAC word for frequency reference oscillator at UHF fine tune and 8F00A Frequency fine tune for DMR mode. (These are the only two settings I could see that would affect the UHF Frequency offset). By trial and error, I was able to move these two settings and the Openspot DMR Demodulation mode setting so I can now receive both of thee GD-77’s on the Openspot (but the quality is not yet 100%)

When I go to a DMR simplex frequency, and listen to the signal from one of the GD-77’s on the other one is sounds fine.

This problem seems to be related to the same issue others are seeing with both VHF and UHF on repeaters. I need to do more adjustment of the calibration of both GD-77’s to get closer than I am but at least I got them working with the Openspot again. I also want to look more to see if there are other settings that affect the frequency offsets in the calibration settings.

I don't think this problem is faulty calibration because with official firmware, I connect correctly with this repeater.

Commenting on this issue with a colleague, there may be an incompatibility with the mmdvm version (software 2017).

Hi.

I tried to change the calibration:

Reference oscillator tuning uhf (original) 998--->995, 990, 985, 1005 but unsuccessfully.

I can't connect with this dmr repeaters, ED7ZAL (UHF, Hardware MMDVM (Repeater). Firmware 20170501)

* with official firmware, no problem.
* When one slot is busy, I connect fine for the other slot
* a colleague has 5 different dmr walkie and connects fine with this repeater
* with other repeaters, simplex or by hotspot, I have no problem

I will keep trying. I prefer this fw to the official

Thx
