My quick introduction: Name is John. Location Launceston Tasmania. (*Island state of Australia at 42 deg South Licensed amateur since 1992. Main interest in HF on 7, 14 and 21 bands (mostly listening) ) 78 years young. Have dabbled in various amateur projects over the years including Packet and Slow Scan TV. More recently in DMR. I bought a TYT MD390UV transceiver and realized quite quickly the limitations of the firmware. So here I am looking to make the upgrade to Open GD77. 73's John VK7KJC
