Hello from Argentina
Hello, my name is Ronald LU4JRD and I join this community to learn and share experiences. I would like to install opengd on a handie but I only have an Ailunce HD1 v2 with GPS, is it possible? But what model do you recommend I buy? Thank you very much and 73
Re: Hello from Argentina
Ailunce HD1 is not supported and never will be.
Its basically obsolete hardware. If you click the "Buy" button on the Ailunce website it takes you to a page which says the product no longer exists

We do have time to port the firmware to discontinued hardware, expecially when there are newer cheaper radios available now.
Re: Hello from Argentina
Retevis RT3S , same PCB inside as TYT MD-UV380/MD-UV390 , buying the TYT models now are a bit risky as they seems to sell a modified 10W version
that currently isn't supported.
Or Baofeng DM-1701 available as secondhand as Retevis RT84, or a TYT MD2017/Retevis RT-82 as second hand.
Mobile/Base station TYT MD9600/Retevis RT90.
Re: Hello from Argentina
10W UV380 is now at Alpha / Experimental stage. 2 people reported that the changes have fixed the problem with the LCD backlight, and I am now waiting for some one to completely check the output emissions to confirm that the correct PA is being selected for each band, but the current information seems to suggest that the Alpha / Experimental version is now working OK with the 10W radio
Ideally we need more people with the non-working PLUS radios to try the Alpha/Experimental 10W version, becuase I'm not sure whether the latest 5W plus radios share the same PCB with the 10W radios
