Hello from TN.

I have both a DM-1701 and a MD-9600 on the way that I plan to have OpenGD77 on. I have a few other DMR radios that I also use so it will be interesting to see the difference.

One thing to bear in mind is that the codeplug structure is different, in that you do not need to have one Channel per frequency per TG, because the firmware / codeplug supports the concept of TG Lists, i.e a list of TGs, and each Channel (Frequency) can be assigned a TG list
TG's can optionally have an "Override TS" i.e you set a TS for each TG.

This means you don't need a Zone per repeater, because with the OpenGD77 codeplug, you only need one Channel per repeater

People then generally use Zones for groups of repeaters, e.g. UHF FM, DMR, VHF FM, Hotspot, etc
