I want to say about one negative point, although I could be wrong. When working through a repeater closed on CTCSS, a short hiss is heard from the radio speaker when PTT is released. I observe this with RT-3S and DM-1801. When using MOTOROLA or RT-3S with original firmware, there is no hiss. As far as I understand, in them, when the PTT key is released, first the CTCSS signal disappears from the carrier frequency, and then the carrier frequency disappears.
