Perhaps there is a I2c chip you could use

One other possible option may be to add image display support, and store an array of images, which are used for the menus.

Going back to 12x12 , submenu seems to be ok ,
maybe i shall start another new thread to summarize .

I hope to add Chinese language to the RT3S, because the screen size of the RT3S is larger and the memory is larger, and the color display will be more beautiful. Thank you.
