I bought a GD77 a few months ago with the intent of following up on a YouTube video and flashing the radio, thereby turning it into the rig I really want. I do hope that is still possible.

Even if it isn't currently possible, the work of open source developers and communities amazes me, and I thought I'd make an account to say thanks, if nothing else. I'll head off to read the faq for a bit and see if I can come up with a question or two.

Sorry for the late reply, I don't recall getting a notification. Call is KF5TJD. Finally starting to work with the radio, firmware install went without a hitch. Coming up with a useful code plug for my area of the US is challenging. Will find the appropriate forum to post a question.
