Hi -
I was able to download an install everything to get my GD-77 running.
The software worked fine the first time I used it, but ever since then I get a communications error when I try to read or write to the radio. When I go to EXTRA >>GD77 SUPPORT , I can set a serial port and read the codeplug ( although I have no idea where it goes!).
What gives??

Assuming you are using Windows...

Run the device manager

devmgmt.msc

And deck the radio is appearing as a Com port called OpenGD77

If you are running Windows 11, it does not allow non commercial drivers, so we can't name the port, so you have to pick the port manually in the CPS.
So make sure you select the correct port
