New User From Texas

Hello,
My name is Gabe and i am new to radio. I recently purchased the GD77 from radioddity with the hopes of being able to hear local police and fire as well as some HAM stations. I have learned allot in the last few days but I didn’t know how much I didn’t know. What i do know is that using the DMR radio is not as simple as I thought it was going to be. I do have a knack for electronics such and i think i will be able to grasp it eventually. My reason for Joining this forum was to hopefully get help with things that i cant understand or find answers to regarding my GD77. Anyway, thats it, i dont have a call sign yet from the FCC since I haven’t taken my test yet but it’s scheduled for May 12. I hope to be ready with my knowledge and radio by then. - G
