I got a GD-77 on Black Friday with an extra battery for $69.99. I already have a Anytone D878UV and am familiar with DMR. I use a mmdvm hotspot I built.
The factory firmware was OK after I got used to it. Within 48 hours I had Opengd77 loaded and running. Much better. However, memorizing all the key commands is challenging, esp at my age. Kinda reminds me of the old DOS Wordstar program. Let's see how many remember that!
Looking forward to exploring Opengd77 more.
