New OpenGD77 user on DM1801

Post by ve2wkr » Mon Nov 02, 2020 5:32 pm

Hi!
My name is Luca , and I live in Colorado, USA.
I loaded the OpenGD77 firmware on my DM1801, and it works great.
OpenCPS is not all that great ... I wish it would load CSV channel and actually set the bandwidth correctly to 25khz instead of ignoring it ...
Also deleting a zone at the top scrambles the other zones...
I'll look in the code to see if I can find the problem.

One question I have is where is the original DM1801 calibration ? My radio showed 0xFF after the upgrade, and I could not back it up until i flashed the opengd77. I briefly looked at the power output on my communication analyser and while VHF looked over 5W , UHF was more like 3.5W, and changing calibration did not seem to have much of an effect. I need to spend more time on this.
Thanks.
Luca

Use the G4EML csv tools not the ones inside the CPS.
