Re: CAL DATA ERROR (Dumb Rooky Mistake) - Please Help!
Hi Daniel, What I did was installed the OpenGD77 firmware file for the 1801 by mistake, when I loaded that before I did anything else I did the Flash backup and EEPROM backup, the flash is only 1024 Kb, then I realised by mistake and loaded the correct file for the GD77, then stupidly re=covered th...

Re: CAL DATA ERROR (Dumb Rooky Mistake) - Please Help!
Hi, Are you confirming that you've made a backups after flashing the correct firmware on the first run ? Email me your FLASH backup (email address available on QRZ.com, but you will have to host the FLASH backup somewhere on internet as the file is too large to be attached in an email). Cheers. --- ...

Re: MD-UV380 keypad speed
You're not running the OpenGD77 firmware obviously.
This forum is about this firmware, not the manufacturer one.
Thanks.

Re: GD-77 maximum charge 88% ?
Hello I'm wondering if the battery indicator could be adjusted. This actually never shows 100% when the battery is charged (always between 77-88%). As I understand it, 100% is achieved at around 8.1v battery voltage. However, since the radios have 7.4 Volt batteries installed, the display is not co...

Re: Updated localisation files 2024 04 12
Hi, Hello While translating I noticed that I couldn't find everything in the german.h and german.xml. These are an entry in the CPS download callsign database "Use Voice Promt memory". This is missing for translating into German.xml. For the device, the following entries in the channel detail menu a...

Re: Localisation support (foreign languages)
Hi Rafa, Hi, Please find attached reviewed versions for Spanish and Catalan, CPS texts. Translated some entries left behind, matched texts for some "similar forms", also modified a few ones to make them a bit more clear to users. As usual, if any big mistakes detected please let me know... ;) Cheers...

Re: Satellite not receiving
No problem, you're choice.
Good luck (no there is no magical flash weirdness involved here, you flash the correct firmware, the radio works. Period).
