Re: baofeng 1801 vs. gd77 volume speaker
Heck, I have two GD77's. They both have very different volume outputs. I have to turn one down about 10% lower than the other for equal volume.

Re: New GD77 Beta - July 30 2022
Nice on SK1+Green, my (original, I have two now!) GD77 the Orange button I have to press PRETTY firmly for it to work, nice to have a secondary here!

Re: GD-88, the new Radioddity DMR radio
2. Cross band repeat including D to A, A to D, and A to A mode. The only other radio that has this is the Anytone D578, but it's a mobile (and it can even do D to D). Definitely unique for an HT. Cross band repeat is uncommon, but not unique, on this HT. However it is the only HT I've seen so far t...

Re: Radioddity GD-73
The range is somewhat limited due to it mini antenna, which I have found to be similarly limited on other radios w/ similar small antennas on them (WLN C1, Baofeng BF-T1 etc), so it's expected. Many users use these radios as "hotspot clients", which I find somewhat amusing. As they say; asked and a...

Re: Feature request(s)
No. You can not legally use a radio on 90, 95, and 97 at the same time. And 90 and 95 both very clearly say unmodified devices. No matter how "clean" or how much they match the general specifications of the rules, violations of the rules are violations period. FRS is 2w, I can't just use any random ...

Re: Feature request(s)
License by rule radios are always marked and have FCC sticks on their back for part 90, 95, etc. If they are so marked, they're legal to use in their unmodified configuration.
Is there an actual question, you seem to be circling something.

I've never seen MURS radio in a store; you're thinking of FRS. Those must also be Part 95.

Re: Feature request(s)
MURS requires a certified radio for Part 95, the GD77 is not Part 95.

Re: Production Supported Radios
I wonder how many hams have a GD77 in a drawer because they were commonly referred to as the "God Damned 77" with the stock firmware, at least by several hams I've talked to, and replaced them with MD380's at the time (2018, 2019 timeframe).

Re: New GD77's hard to find, discontinued?
I might have been too aggressive in my cutting of the notches in the cup. Very possible. It is still usable. I put a tape in front to make the radio stay in place, very ghetto! I will invest in an aftermarket power supply module to replace the one inside the dock. Talking about these cheap adapters...
