I have a TYT MD-2017 (no GPS) which I can donate to your team
The only issue is it now displays in chinese language after the last factory firmware update, which makes it unusable for me

Re: Hello from Kentucky!
Unfortunately, I am only aware of one DMR repeater in the Louisville area, and I think it's currently down: 443.000 +5MHz CC1 K4KTR (Actually managed by KK4CZ) Most of the hams I know in the area with DMR radios use them with hotspots. Repeater book lists this one in LaGrange, but as of yet I've no...

Re: Hello from Kentucky!
Hi Welcome I see you are from Ky, I was curious if you know much about DMR repeaters in Louisville area? I'm originally from Louisville, but moved to New Mexico 45 years ago, but my brother ( and folks ) still live there. He is also a ham with an old VHF handheld so I bought him a GD77 for Christmas...

Re: does anyone have a TYT MD-2017?
Thanks for the pointer, unfortunately I already tried those suggestions. The really odd thing is when you use the arrow buttons on the side of the radio, Up goes down in the menu, and Down goes up in in the menu. 73 Here are some notes for the MD380. https://www.miklor.com/MD380/380-Language.php Col...

does anyone have a TYT MD-2017?
If you do I need some assistance. I just updated firmware to latest non-GPS version which supports 100K contacts. Unfortunately now when I turn on the radio I no longer see English, I'm not sure what I see, however I think it is Chinese characters. Can someone provide the exact button pushes require...

Re: Public Beta (2021 11 10)
see this post, https://www.opengd77.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1875#p16020 I had the same error the first time I installed OpenGD77 on a DM-1801, that won't work, you need to install OpenDM1801/OpenDM1801A 73 Liz I've attempted to load the current Public Beta on a DM-1801. After loading the new firmwa...

Re: SOLVED Re: can't backup FLASH
No worries Its hard for us to check whether people are installing the correct firmware, for the radio. If we did attempt to do this, I think it would cause more problems with false negatives etc when things change in the firmware. I figured if there was a way to determine which model radio the CPS ...

SOLVED Re: can't backup FLASH
okay, this is all my fault, in other words I screwed up. The only radios I'd installed OpenGD77 on were Radioditty GD77 which is the only firmware I'd downloaded. So that is what I used on the DM1801, which of course it isn't meant for. I just downloaded OpenDM1801 firmware and installed it on the D...
