Re: Analog roundtrip through codec?

There's a local net on an analog repeater that I listen to that's also bridged to TGIF and when I listen to it via DMR there's no static. This is because the AMBE codec is a voice codec - it encodes sounds that sound like voices and ignores sounds that don't. So that made me wonder if it's possible...

Re: Paying for someone to port the firmware to other radios

I'm afraid that this is a name clash. In the context of DMR radios, C6000/C7000 chips are sp...

Re: DMR can Tx only if Tx and Rx frequencies are the same

…one more question: Since I’m interested for now in moly listening/receiving DMR, is it possible to “scan” or tune to a DMR frequency and listen to it WOTHOUT having initiated this “handshake” to the repeater? If yes, what are the settings I should put the open gd77 on, I’ve been trying by putting ...

Re: ALPHA 2022 11 29

"ALPHA 2022 11 29" Happy New Year! RT3S restoring the default settings of the OpenGD77 firmware alone. All three of my RT3S's started out of nowhere restoring settings out of nowhere every time I turn on the radio. I haven't had this problem yet with previous firmware versions. I'm going to restore...

Almost every time when I turn on radio, my radio is restarting and looks like I loaded new firmware, so every step I have to set from beginning.
Hi!
Isn't the problem already reported and explained in the "Settings Updated Message" thread ?

USB HUB preventing firmware upgrade on GD-77

Hi! I wanted to flash the recent firmware to my GD-77, and the FW loader repeatedly refused it with an error window saying something like "Radio didn't respond to the initial commands". To close this window it was neccessary to turn the radio off or disconnect the cable, otherwise a smaller window a...

Re: point to point digital radio

I know that the question runs away from the purpose of the group, if it is not possible to clarify thank you. In the event of having 2 digital radios with opengd77 without access to brandmeister or repeater it is possible to program the codeplug so that the radios communicate in digital alone mode,...

Re: GD-88, the new Radioddity DMR radio

I noticed that Radioddity have posted updated firmware for the GD-88 recently Interestingly, the firmware files are named C7000_DR880UV_HAM_A_2022-10-27.bin and C7000_DR880UV_HAM_B_2022-10-27.bin, so Radioddity are clearly getting updates directly from Kydera and not bothering even to rename the fi...

Do you have a link to the modulation standard for this ? e.g. what tone frequences are used to define logic 1 and 0 ? Hello, I think it't there (Bell 202 modulation): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Packet_radio#Physical_layer:_modem_and_radio_channel With regards / 73 Pavel OK1PT Thanks. I already f...
