Re: User Interface controls
In case anyone might find this useful... I don't have a color printer. When I printed out the latest pictorial key map, I used the GD77 diagram colors as a guide, and I did some color-coding with colored pencils. And, for the mic diagram, I also used some colored stick-on dots cut with a looseleaf n...

Re: User Interface controls
Suggestion: I ‘d love an option so that in DMR mode, the rotator control would scroll through the list of talk groups on a channel (i.e. repeater) rather than changing channels. In other words, so the knob would always "tune" the lowest level of choices, whether on FM or DMR. On FM, changing the cha...

Re: Can't enter firmware update mode
Got it. Thanks, YT5HOK. I now have OpenGD77, er, 9600 running on my MD-9600 now. I quickly turned on Click Suppression and lowered the beep volume to -21 dB. So nice to have the same "system" and codeplug running on the shack radio and my handheld. I realize the 9600 firmware is still an alpha versi...

Forgot to mention, the serial number is 1705A00284, if that helps.

Can't enter firmware update mode
I just acquired a pre-owned MD-9600. The motherboard is labelled MD9600-UV-V2.1-17608, and it has a very loud speaker "pop" when most keys are pressed. In the Utility menu (original firmware) the firmware version is D004.003 and the CP version is V01.18. I can't get the radio into firmware update mo...

Re: New GD77's hard to find, discontinued?
OOOPS! Correction, it’s the GD-77s that’s available. The one with no screen, etc. Sorry, my wishful thinking overrode my eyesight.

Re: New GD77's hard to find, discontinued?
In case anyone is interested…. I noticed today (April 11, 2022) that the GD-77 is displaying as available on that large eCommerce site named for a large river in Brazil. Which was not the case last week.

Re: Audio Leveling
I understand and agree completely. And thank you for all the work you and the other developers are doing. OpenGD77 is really amazing! It makes DMR so much easier than on any other radio.

Re: Batch file to create your preferred DMR ID database
That is a *very* nice shell script. It might be possible but very awkward to duplicate its function in CMD batch language, and it would probably require an external utility or two. I think it would be quite doable in Take Command (which is the successor to 4DOS and 4NT).
