Re: can't backup FLASH
I can't get flash backup data. When I try to backup flash nothing happens, from my first post "however when I select Backup Flash nothing occurs, except OpenGD77 Support page goes gray. I can backup EEPROM and MCU ROM using OpenGD77 Support, but Backup Flash does not work." So I can backup EEPROM an...

Re: Greetings from North Carolina
If you are an Amateur Radio licensee just install OpenGD77 and proceed. It is designed for hams, the day I received my GD77s I immediately installed OpenGD77 and have never looked back.

Re: Roaming
chuckle I don't think it is the "user" community opinions that determine what the developers work on. From my perspective developers work on what they find interesting, not on someone's opinion related to "time would be better spent". The source code is there, if you, myself or anyone else believes ...
Re: Roaming
Hugo I talked to a couple people who have Motorola DMR radios regarding roaming. As you stated in another thread Motorola "roaming" is very basic. A minimum RSI value is set then the radio scans through channels (repeaters) until it finds one above that minimum. It uses that channel as long as the R...

Hi HI8NLO
Are your sure it uses same CPU? If so, my experience with open source operating system development is get a piece of hardware into a developers hands.
You could always buy a few and send it to a couple developers.

last heard question
First, I've been around open source unix projects for decades so I'm loathe to ask for a feature request without submitting code, but...., I'm going to violate that rule here, sorry. I use the "last heard" function quite a bit when monitoring with TG and CC filtering turned off, so I can listen on a...

Good morning
I purchased several GD77 radios a couple months ago because I'd read about OpenGD77. When the project went into hiatus I delayed installing OpenGD77. When the project became active again I installed the June 13 Beta firmware and it has worked very well.
thanks
