I noticed that commercial DMR radios in my area, besides sending the RADIO ID, also transmit the grid locator information in this way: Line 1: TEXT Line 2: TEXT [HI21LR] It would be interesting to have this information in the Talker Alias TX. Opengd77 firmware already have the GRID location via GPS...

It's strange that the screen is cropped at the bottom

None of the RT84 users reported that problem

What's also strange is the gap at the top of the screen.

Have they loaded the DM1701 instead of the RT84 Version?

I think we may need to add the version name to the firmware info screen

So I pulled the pin and ordered a DM-1701B from China, which firmware file would be the one to use for that unit, OpenDM1701 or OpenRT84, I can see that the DM-1701B is referred to as “aka Retevis RT-84” in another thread..

The Chinese Hams say the firmware works ok with the 1701B
