Re: GD-88, the new Radioddity DMR radio

Does anyone know what hardware the GD-88 is based on?

What CPU(s) / DMR / VFO / etc. and if it single or dual rx / tx hardware?

Re: TYT MD-9600 / Retevis RT-90 : Experimental version

OK Well, you guys seem to be the only people who have 'hot' mic's on DMR as far as I'm aware. The default mic gain on FM may be a little high, but its only noticable on repeaters that use CTCSS as it can cause clipping due to overdeviation of the FM TX signal messing with the repeater's demodulatio...

Re: TYT MD-9600 / Retevis RT-90 : Experimental version

Its very strange all of your radios have a very loud mic, when had no one else every had this problem Are you using the mic that came with each radio. Why do you have so many md9600? I am not sure I am the only one with a loud mic. Another local ham who purchased a MD-9600 had the same issue and at...

Re: TYT MD-9600 / Retevis RT-90 : Experimental version

Hello, i have 2 MD-9600 version 2 and on analog the distance range on open field is around 30 nm but on digital even at 2 miles sometimes work fine but normally the voice is cutting and not possible to understand. I checked ouput power at highest mode with a 50Ohm load and is not more that 20 un UH...

Re: User Interface controls

Very nice diagram and info. One small point, I believe S1 should be changed to SK1. Thank you for the work on this.

Re: Calibration

Initially I tried making some changes to the PA drive to resolve the problem, but the beta tester who thought he had the PA problem later reported that his radio seemed now to be working OK, however I think he is probably only using UHF. Possibly pulsing the PA drive to its max level for the first ...

Re: Calibration

There is very little in the calibration that should ever require adjusting. The feature is really only used during manufacturing. Hence there is not a lot of urgency to provide this feature. It will probably happen eventually, but not soon. The only adjustment that may need to be made as the radio ...

Calibration

Is there a desire / plan to have Calibration function in the CPS for the MD900 at some point ? Also I have access to a good RF lab that has all the test equipment need to 'tune / calibrate' with. I have read that the fundamental frequency adjustment is physical adjustment on the main circuit board. ...
