Re: Scan speed versus sensitivity

There does seem to be some potential problem the the VFOs when the settings are reset.

My radio now sets VFO A to 0.000Mhz when I reset the settings, which is obviously a bug.. Which I will investigate.

Edit.

Umm.

Some of my radios seem to have this problem, but not all. Very odd.

Re: GD77 FW for a mobile radio?

I did look at porting to the MD-9600 etc but the cost of the radios is more than I can afford, as I need to buy at least 2 of each radio Also, the development and support of the GD77 type radios already takes most of my spare time. I wish the OpenRTX project well, but as they only seem to have one a...

On the display it would just use the existing space where it currently displays the TS information.
That position on the display shows the TS number you will transmit on when you press the PTT.
The Tx TS is critical information and can't be removed or replaced with other information.

Re: Scan speed versus sensitivity

There appears to be a bug in the latest v3 version of this firmware that is causing me to get an error when uploading a code plug. It is also causing any changes I make to VFO-B to not be saved permanently and is affecting at least one other normal channel even when pressing sk2 along with the gree...

Re: Scan speed versus sensitivity

Hi Roger, you have probably already noticed but the scan step voicing in v3 doesn't voice scan step and says for example 30dmb instead of 30 milli-seconds. 73, Ian DJ0HF/G3ULO Thanks. I know ;-) Daniel found we are not using several of the existing prompts including dB, so we will need to re-use th...

Re: Low signal when breaking squelch

99.99% of radios do not experience the problem you have. I'd recommend you find someone else locally with a GD-77 and try it at your QTH. If it doesn't have the problem, then your radio has a hardware fault. If it does have the same problem, but the owner doesn't have the same problem at their QTH, ...

Re: Scan speed versus sensitivity

Thanks Rob In my experience, its always occasionally skipped DMR signals, when the scan speed was not adjustable and hence the value was set to 30 milliseconds, and for DMR repeater signals. I don't think the recent changes have made any difference to this. I've not looked in detail at why the scan ...

Re: Scan speed versus sensitivity

Daniel and I have been looking at the scan function and Daniel has found and fixed several bugs Additionally I have investigated the unexplained dead time during the scanning process where the Rx was not listening, and I have reduced this dead time by around 75% So that the scan speed will be approx...

Alrighty, thanks! I didn't see that, just autofilled it with a username I commonly use on forums.
No worries
